Ballet by the Beach 2024: Summer Intensive with Catherine Batcheller

 Come train in this intimate and very supportive environment, while enjoying trips to the beach after each day of intense training. Situated in Harwichport, MA., this charming studio is located one and a half blocks from the beach and a block from shops and restaurants. Class size is limited to 10 advanced students who will receive specialized attention and training from internationally recognized principal dancer and teacher, Catherine Batcheller. Classes focus on proper alignment, musicality, pirouettes, refined pointe work, and developing artistry from the first combination at the barre until the last reverence at the end of each class. Students are coached in both classical solos and a contemporary solo in the course of the week. This one-on-one coaching opportunity challenges students to push themselves further and reach new levels artistically and technically. With the ratio of at most, ten students to one teacher, students receive an abundance of hands on and individually tailored corrections. Depending upon registration, partnering class may also be offered if there are any male students.

Limited housing opportunities are also available. I suggest early registration to guarantee placement.
