My teaching methodology is based on correct body alignment, articulate presentation and lengthening of the legs and feet, coordination of port de bras that radiates from the spine and a strong focus on musicality and nuance. My desire is to inspire and instill within students the love and appreciation for dance in all of its beauty and joy. I work with imagery, analogies, and humor to open their minds, bodies and souls to the poetry of dance. I design combinations that increase students’ ability to move lightly, swiftly with strength and elegance. I stress presentation, musicality and attention to detail.

Above all, I believe that the studio is not only where exceptional dancers are created, but also where exceptional people are created. This happens through learning life skills and through the beauty and discipline of the art form. Students are motivated by the challenges I offer in class to learn more and perfect their dance technique. Students carry these lessons with them whether or not they ever dance professionally. Studying dance for any length of time enriches students’ lives and teaches them poise, stature, teamwork and confidence.
